We performed a comparison between Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and SonicWall Capture Client based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."NGAV and EDR features are outstanding."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"This is stable and scalable."
"Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR."
"The stability is very good."
"The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls."
"he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great."
"Especially the firewalling, I found useful, as you can control the applications and services on a granular level to tell them where they have access to or not."
"The solution is secure."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the daily updates and protection from virus attacks."
"Our clients are using the advanced options, and they're quite comfortable with this solution because they didn't have any problems. It was easy to integrate it with Active Directory. It is fast and easy to use. It has all the required features."
"The stability has been good."
"It provides good security."
"The most valuable feature is the management center."
"Deployment and centralized management are essential for us because of the number of loads that we have along with the number of geographic locations where we are based."
"The most valuable features of SonicWall Capture Client are CSC (Capture Security Center), RTDMI (Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection), and the deep memory inspection feature."
"Overall, what I love the most about SonicWall Capture Client is its management console. SonicWall Capture Client also has the intelligence to tell you which computer is online, what OS it uses, etc. I also found the rollback feature and SentinelOne integration valuable in SonicWall Capture Client. Rollback is a powerful feature of the solution because it's similar to locking your endpoint during an attack, so you won't have to pay the hackers, particularly during ransomware attacks. That feature in SonicWall Capture Client allows you to get back your endpoint or make your endpoint right again after an attack. I also like that it isn't complex to remove the engine error from the endpoint because you only have to provide the security key from SonicWall Capture Client, so the process is simple. It's not complex."
"SonicWall Capture Client has a serial number to connect to your firewall."
"The solution serves as a very stable platform."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"SonicWall Capture Client's scalability is nice."
"To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting."
"We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"The security should be strong for the cloud. Some applications are on-prem and some are on the cloud. Fortinet should also have strong security for the cloud. There should be more security for the cloud."
"FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things."
"Intelligence aspects need improvement"
"This solution needs improvement in the reporting section. Reporting in Kaspersky Endpoint is good but it's not that great. The platform needs to centralize reporting control."
"It would be nice if it was less expensive."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business’s interface could be easier to understand when displaying the activities during configuration processes."
"If someone has the older version of the solution, and wants to install a newer version, they must remove all of the previous applications. Otherwise, there will be issues with the solution."
"When I do a malware scan on my computer it takes a long while. This process could improve in the future. Additionally, the security could improve."
"There are many improvements needed, such as faster responses, faster notification, and immediate reports."
"It slows down the system sometimes, and it has the occasional false positive where it deems something a virus when it isn't."
"They're restricted to endpoint protection for now, I'd like to see some additional products."
"They should improve their user interface."
"An area for improvement in SonicWall Capture Client is TenantCloud support. Suppose you want to implement SonicWall Capture Client. You'll have to register it on MySonicWall. Then once your SonicWall Capture Client license expires and you don't want to renew it, you can't delete it from your MySonicWall account, so that's an area for improvement."
"The vulnerability reports need to be better. Windows Defender detected some issues that SonicWall Capture Client couldn't."
"SonicWall Capture Client could be made a little lighter than it currently is in terms of memory consumption."
"The biggest issue with SonicWall Capture Client is network latency."
"It takes technical support too long to resolve an issue."
