"I like FortiClient EMS. FortiEDR has a lot of great features like lockdown mode, remote wipes, and encryption. I can set malware outbreak policies and controls for detecting abnormalities. You can also simulate phishing attacks."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"The stability is very good."
"The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls."
"Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration."
"he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers."
"Vulnerability management is a valuable feature that I enjoy."
"It's a stable solution, to date we have not had any issues."
"DLP is a solid feature in the product. I like it very much. It is very useful in our environment. It is also a very stable solution. Their support is also very good."
"I have found Trend Micro Apex One to be secure."
"It's a good solution, and they have something called Suite incorporating many, many engines like encryption, GLB, anti-virus."
"I like Apex One's DLP and EDR features. The DLP is a good solution because it allows you to push policies. Source detection is another one. It automatically detects malicious IPs, domains, and URLs. Most of the time, it works automatically, but sometimes it doesn't quarantine or block, so we have to perform remediation manually and delete the file or application through Power Shell."
"The antivirus itself is also lightweight. It does not hamper the performance. It is not resource-hungry. It does not impact the overall performance of the device. It is just there, and it is easy to use."
"The solution offers quick and timely updates."
"One of the most valuable features is that it will block vulnerable sites. If there was a connection between one of our devices to a known malware site, it will block it."
"What I like the most about it is the dynamic grouping, where you get to group endpoints based on setup criteria. That's pretty cool. I like the simplified policy management and simplified white-listing process."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"This product has the capability of uploading scripts to the tool and this is a very comprehensive feature."
"For Carbon Black Endpoint, the possibility of integration with different other software's log servers is the important thing. Having just one point of view is more interesting so you don't need to go to different places to see all the information."
"Behavioral Monitoring stops known malicious events before they even begin."
"It has the best live response feature."
"I rate Carbon Black CB Defense an eight out of ten for the ease of its initial setup."
"The support needs improvement."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation."
"We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team."
"They can include the automation for the realtime updates. We have a network infrastructure with remote sites. Whenever they send updates, they are not automated. We have to go into the console and push those updates. I wish it was more automated. The update file is currently around 31 MB. It could be smaller."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"More integration with different platforms would be great, as everyone seems to want the solution to integrate with each team."
"Trend Micro's encryption is not up to the mark. We tried their encryption product, but we did not like it. Encryption was difficult to manage."
"The security features need improvement."
"The customization has room for improvement."
"It would be great it can support endpoint encryption."
"There is a need for enhancement in certain reporting formats."
"All the features in Trend Micro Apex One are not compatible or functional for all the different operating systems. For example, they have fewer features in other operating systems compared to what they have for Microsoft Windows. It would be nice if they could have one solution which all functions work on all kinds of operating systems. It would be much easier for those who have different operating systems in their environment to have one solution."
"The console can be better in terms of management and viewing the hierarchy of devices. Currently, setting up the hierarchy OU-wise is a bit cumbersome. It can be made a bit easier. If that can be more user-friendly and easier to manage, it would be great."
"The product's reporting capabilities are an area of concern where improvements are required."
"There's some disparity between the on-premise and the cloud type of application."
"It could be a bit complicated. You have to be very familiar with Carbon Black to understand what it is doing and why it is doing. I would like to have more explanations and simplification in the user interface. It would be good to get help and see more explanations. It should tell us that a software is blocked and the reason for it. It would be good to be able to build chains in terms of what caused what, what worked, and what caused an issue. We are now moving from Carbon Black to Cortex XDR. While choosing antivirus software, we were also looking at Carbon Black because it also has an antivirus package, and it is next-generation, but we were told that Carbon Black doesn't support firewalls. We have Palo Alto firewalls. We would have chosen this solution if it supported firewalls, in particular next-generation firewalls, but unfortunately, it doesn't. Therefore, we decided on Cortex XDR because it integrates with Palo Alto firewalls."
"It would be nice to have additional forensic tools that you can build into the back end."
"I am not sure whether Carbon Black CB Defense can be considered as a stable solution or not."
"The support is poor."
"The local technical support is very poor, but the support from headquarters is very nice."
"Occasionally, we'll have issues with the latest version and they'll basically tell us that they will improve it in the next iteration. They need to work on their version release quality."
