Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"A valuable feature is user enrollment, where users can enroll their devices in their organizations themselves.""The most valuable feature is the policy CSPs.""Great for software update needs, operating system version updates, and security policy enforcement.""Remote Wipe and Autopilot is one of the best features.""Users can make screenshots, and devices only need the minimal version of iOS.""A great solution for anyone wanting a modern endpoint device management solution.""It's very informative when there is an error. It allows us to backtrace where the error is and resolve that ourselves. It's a bit of a Swiss Army penknife. We find that it fixes most issues.""We have a BYOD policy, and this solution helps us manage our devices."

"The most significant benefit is that the deployment is quick and painless. You don't need a specialized IT department to implement and scale the network. It's easy to maintain, too. It only requires one or two network administrators.""The solution is simple.""We experience no downtime, no breakdowns, all the user readings are exact, and it gives us quick analysis so we can apply security measures.""Meraki Systems Manager's most valuable features are password management, device tracking, remote resetting and wiping, device management, inventory management, and easy policy deployment.""We can reconfigure a client’s setup remotely with minimal effort.""It's very easy to just keep adding devices as needed.""The proprietary standards and modules are the most valuable features.""I have found the location analytics feature that is built into the APs to be the most valuable. It allows you to compare data and to single out individuals who are repeatedly coming into your store. We can observe different trends. This is what separates it from a lot of the other solutions."

"The management and enrollment process is great, and with the asset management and instant action menu, we can easily maintain and support the users.""The remote management and cloud-based maintenance features of this solution are very useful for our organization.""They always add more features to this product.""One of the most valuable features of Sophos Mobile is the Wifi password.""In terms of valuable features, we liked the lock feature, the roll-out white feature, and the find feature. I think that Sophos had a GPS locator, so you could figure out where the phone was from a GPS location.""The solution provides us with data protection.""The security features work well.""The solution is quite user-friendly."

Cons
"Reporting needs improvement.""I wanted to check if there is any provision at the Intune level to restrict certain things, such as a website, but unfortunately, that feature is available only in Microsoft Defender. Intune has web filtering capabilities, but they are only useful for protection from malicious websites, whereas we would like to be able to restrict a website. For example, YouTube is a clean website. No one would identify it as a malicious website, but if we want to stop the end-users from going to that website, we have to go for another product, such as Microsoft Defender or another third-party proxy solution. It would be great if this capability is included in Intune.""Microsoft Intune has a latency response time issue. The latency has room for improvement.""In terms of what can be improved, I am looking for better enhancements regarding Apple management, not only on the mobile device, but also on the laptop.""Reporting in Microsoft solutions is pathetic. With Intune, I'm getting a free inventory tool, but I don't get a reporting tool. When I go to Intune, I can see one machine's entire data in terms of the hardware and the software running on it, but I cannot generate a report for all the machines in the organization. The reporting is the only feature holding back the functionality that is already there.""What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade.""Onboarding of endpoint devices is not straightforward. The onboarding process was a little heavier than I thought it would be. That's the key improvement area. Obviously, the more control you have over the devices, the better it is.""We only have major classifications for iOS and Android, but there are different brands that have different cycles of updates. If they can fine-tune it to make it more brand-specific, that would be even better."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"One area for improvement in Cisco Meraki Systems Manager is the ability for more advanced users to make detailed and non-standard changes.""Linux compatibility needs improvement.""The maintenance is average.""The solution can be expensive.""It would be beneficial to have better integration with other OS.""The price of the solution could be reduced.""The price could be better.""I've participated in numerous product launches primarily focused on HP and Dell. Consequently, there should be a vested interest in local gatherings to showcase product advantages and performance. Particularly in Singapore, it only has so limited integrators to engage in IP product sales. There's room for improvement through dedicated workshops and training. The European and Western markets differ significantly from the context here. The physical location holds more importance. Thus, they should have a survey to evaluate demand, supply, and sales points, tailoring strategies accordingly."

More Cisco Meraki Systems Manager (MDM+EMM) Cons →

"We have experienced issues in updating iOS devices when we set a minimum version requirement policy, and we do not have the option to force automatic installation. This means that the device must be supervised in order for updates to be applied, which we would like to see improved.""We encounter issues while working with iOS.""Our support reps are based in the Philippines, and it's hard to connect with them sometimes. It took me about two months to resolve my issue, so it wasn't a good experience.""There may be necessary adjustments that need to be made because we are facing certain restrictions within the work profile.""We would like to see graphics showing the use of each device.""The setup should be made easier.""They continue to work on integration with mobile device management and mobile security. They are improving the protection but I think that the capabilities still need to be enhanced.""In terms of what could be improved, the initial configuration and setup of the environment could probably be made a little bit easier. There are so many pieces that go into it. Intune is absolutely insane and Sophos is better, but it still is a bit complex to get it all set up correctly."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Every user is unique. Every device, a bit different. Systems Manager keeps the network in the loop about constantly changing devices, automatically tracking device posture and adjusting security policies to match.

Sophos Mobile is a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and security solution that helps businesses spend less time and effort to manage and secure traditional and mobile endpoints. The only UEM solution that integrates natively with a leading next-gen endpoint security platform, Sophos Mobile supports management of Windows 10, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
