Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I've noted an ROI while using the solution.""Better than TeamViewer and useful for fixing problems remotely.""Unattended access is the most important feature.""it gives me the ability to remotely connect to machines that I manage without user intervention.""It's very easy to use. Provides connections that are always on. It was nice to be able to see a list of end-points and see whether or not they were connected so I could troubleshoot any network issues I had.""Session groups and triggers are the most valuable features, because they make a greater degree of organization possible. Greater degree of organization is valuable to my organization, because we have many sessions to handle.""You can bring up a command prompt remotely and execute commands without having to disturb the user.""The product's two-factor authentication means we are not worried like before about the state of our security."

"The most valuable feature is Webex's user-friendly video conferencing.""The chat and meeting scheduling features in Webex are most valuable for our team's productivity.""Screen share is the most valuable feature.""The product's most valuable feature is its ability to integrate with multiple products.""We can easily connect the device and create a room and then we can call many devices.""The tool alerts us when there are issues with our Kubernetes environment, such as excessive container usage. This allows our operations team to quickly identify and address these issues, reducing the time it takes to resolve them.""Webex is easy to use, even for people who are just learning it.""The solution is very valuable for conference calls, as a lot of businesses are switching from work-from-home."

Cons
"At the moment, there's absolutely no specific feature that we actually need additionally since all the features that we need are available.""On a Linux machine, there are different limitations that are not there on a Windows Server. Much more limitations exist on Linux deployments.""They could provide a toolbox for the plan I'm on.""I was not thrilled with their support. I do not have a lot of time to deal with the attention which is needed to fix issues.""There is an issue which is pretty rare, but I find it at least when connecting from my mobile device. I am forced to refresh the screen by changing the screen quality to get screen updates. This only happens sometimes.""What we need this product to do is to be able to control Windows Updates. LogMeIn Central allowed us remote access but also allowed to push and install Windows Updates, and third-party updates... When we made the switch to ConnectWise we lost the ability to do patching. That forced us, for our larger clients, to move to WSUS. We had to set up a VM on those larger clients to push Windows Updates and patches into the network.""Speed is a major factor in Automate, and the control panel is horribly slow.""I would like ConnectWise Control to be more transparent on the real costs to renew their license."

"The performance of WebEx could be improved. If you're using it on a mobile device and on the laptop, you sometimes get glitches, where you've answered the call or joined a meeting on a laptop and your mobile device doesn't quite know what's going on. It may just be technical glitches, but it seems to be a bit shaky sometimes on mobile devices.""Webex is limited to Cisco.""The product needs to improve its integration. I'm not sure how difficult it is for the IT team to set up the integration. Once set up, it's easy but still not as straightforward as other platforms, like Microsoft Teams, where everything is within the same technical environment. To ensure further security, face authentication should also be added for all internal corporate users logged into the platform.""An opportunity they could benefit from would be a version that includes meeting transcription. I usually use a third-party product to do transcription.""Better integration with other solutions would benefit Webex.""The performance is not always good and could be improved.""Webex could be improved by having a password-protected system. I don't remember there being any passwords for the meetings, but, presently, Zoom has meeting protection.""The product's price could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Good price and works well."
  • "Their licensing model is good, their pricing model is good, their service is good; bandwidth is excellent. They're consistent."
  • "I think the product's pricing is a good value. I paid $600 a year and that was fine for me. It was about $50 a month. Licensing is all very straightforward."
  • "It is priced well and it is still a great value. Although I have been reading a lot about Splashtop. They are getting pretty competitive on their pricing, including a fairly easy to use remote support for mobile applications, like iOS and Android."
  • "Pricing is fair for Control and the licensing is simple."
  • "The cloud version is relatively inexpensive, but the on-premise version is expensive if you do not need three technicians, only one or two for concurrent sessions."
  • "It is priced fairly."
  • "Make sure you have enough licensing for all the techs that you have."

  • "I have recently switched to a different solution. WebEx is more costly. There are equivalent solutions at a lower cost."
  • "The price of the license depends a lot on the type of service required and whether it is for the entire company or only for a few users."
  • "Licensing is subscription-based and the cost varies depending on how many minutes are included in the plan."
  • "The pricing of this solution is fine and I am satisfied with it."
  • "Price is the one area where Webex needs to improve relative to its competitors. It's difficult to sell to small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) because of the license price."
  • "I believe the license to be monthly."
  • "There are no licensing fees."
  • "The price of the license for the solution could be less expensive."
