Q&A Highlights
Question: Which is the best virtual learning platform?
Answer: If you're looking for just a basic meeting tool, Zoom will do just fine. You can also share your screen as well as choose the option to share presentations ( in your case, its the Digital manual). Cisco Webex is more for making video calls but some use it for training as well due to the fact that it was already used but I have experienced some latency (lag) with it. Anyone in the group viewing may correct me on this one. In terms of popularity, its Zoom and webex which are the most popular tools Blackboard and Adobe connect are more considered the virtual classroom technologies for teaching. They have many advanced features offering multi-classroom features which encourage students to engage differently. They are far less popular than zoom or webex. According to your requirements, I would encourage you to go towards Zoom. You can start by the free version and upgrade to the pro version depending on your requirements Also, it works seamlessly on laptop, IOS and Android devices Hope this helps. Also, note that this was a quick review and we are doing a more comprehensive review based on a per -component basis.

Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Webex is a thin client and we like the interface. It is easy to use.""One of the most valuable features of Webex was that it was easy to use and there were no hassles.""We can easily connect the device and create a room and then we can call many devices.""The most valuable feature is that you can host presentations with a lot of attendees.""The installation was straightforward.""The product improves team collaboration in our company since it integrates with Microsoft Teams or other vendors.""The product is quite secure. Other products, such as Zoom, have had security issues raised in the media.""They have a feature called Call Me in which I need to type in my phone number and I can get a conference room to call my number rather than needing to dial in every time. I think that's a quite good feature."

"It functions well. I have had no issues with attaching files to chats.""The most valuable features of Zoom are its ease of use, screen sharing, and annotations.""Ability to record sessions.""The most valuable features of Zoom are the screen blur and the background transition, which is great because we are working from home. Without this feature we would not have private meetings, they do not need to see what is happening in our background. The background transition is good with Zoom.""Zoom is easy to use and does not consume very much in terms of resources.""Screen Sharing is the most valuable feature in Zoom for me.""The product's most valuable features are chat and video streaming.""Zoom is useful for virtual meetings."

Cons
"I do not like emojis.""There could be more some AI-related features.""The solution could improve by adding a survey or form feature to show for the users to be able to vote or answer any questions.""Webex could improve the calling feature. It would be helpful to be able to call outside the IP environment.""The UX should be more user-friendly. I know others don't like the UX because it's a little complicated to use.""I would like to see more integration, with respect to some more unified communication activities.""My biggest issue with the solution involves its price, which I find to be prohibitive for small governments and modest-sized schools.""The product's user interface is an area with shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required."

"There was a situation not long ago when there were some security fears. Some users had somebody else take control of their calls. They might have addressed these issues now, but the security needs to continue to be upgraded.""It takes time to acclimate end users to the product.""When you are connected to one device and you're going to log into another one, Zoom should ask you to transfer without having to disconnect you.""Troubleshooting can be complicated.""We would like to have the ability to connect people using phone numbers so that non-Zoom users can join conversations.""When anyone installs Zoom for organizational purposes, then it's fine because all the safety and protection is taken care of by the organization. However, when it's done on a personal basis the terms and conditions, you are not secure.""Zoom should continue to add new features to the product.""I would like to see them develop end-to-end encryption, like WhatsApp. That would improve the security of the software."

    My comments about Zoom:

    The Pros:

    - It allows you to schedule any meeting and invites your meeting members at a particular date & time with Meeting Id & Password.
    - It allows organizing multiple meetings, to carry out online meetings, file sharing, webinars & group messaging.

    - Through the Zoom application, users are given the option to connect to more than one conference room, include more attendees remotely, and conduct face-to-face meetings.
    - Zoom offers both native mobile (iOS & Andrioid)and desktop versions that let users collaborate & connect remotely.
    - It allows us to record video chat and look at them at a later date & time.
    - Whiteboard is a good feature for having a meeting in which everyone can join to type or draw, and write.
If we have a brainstorming-type meeting, we can share our own ideas with the whiteboard.
    - Zoom recently implemented a Microsoft Office add-in, which means we can now schedule Zoom meetings without having to go into the Zoom app.

The Cons (from my experience using in Melbourne, Australia):

    - Have encountered Slow response sometimes when participants are joining from different geographical locations.

    - The Free Version allows having a conference call for 40 minutes. Price could be an issue for the Paid Version.
