We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The stability is good.""It's easy to deploy a configuration or policy to a system, especially when you don't have Azure AD. Now we are talking to all these small and medium-sized customers who don't necessarily have an on-premise Windows Active Directory. If they have invested in Office 365 Premium, this functionality becomes available to them.""Fortunately, now everything is streamlined into a single, unified platform.""I can reach devices or computers over the internet. I don't need to worry about the network connectivity between the offices. I can manage any device. That is the most important part.""The main advantage is that Intune performs its intended functions effectively.""Remote Wipe and Autopilot is one of the best features.""Intune is effective because of the configuration management and endpoint security it provides. The graphical interface makes it easier to configure and deploy devices.""Its protection policies are most valuable. It protects mobile devices as well as individual apps. It is pretty scalable, and its documentation is also pretty good. It is also pretty straightforward to deploy."

"I have been using Jamf Pro for a few years now, and I'm impressed with its functionality and ease of use.""The most valuable features of Jamf Pro for me are the device locator, which helps find missing iPads, and the ability to remotely manage and disable devices.""As an administrator, I really love the integration with Apple Business Manager.""Jamf Pro has allowed us to make sure settings for our devices are easily installed so our end-users don't need to worry about a significant amount of steps for setup. We also use this to send applications to devices.""The full API lets us write custom scripts and apps to enhance even further the end-user experience.""Having the ability to automate our workflows has been great.""Apple School Manager integration and access to VPP content made the integration of devices into our fleet flawless and application installation much simpler and faster.""Being able to easily deploy apps and patches to our client computers with minimal hands-on time from our techs has been huge."

More Jamf Pro Pros →

"Microsoft Mobility and EMS include Intune for Mobility, which provides mobile device management and mobile application management. With mobile device management, you can control the entire device in an organization.""A good feature that is present is MAM or Mobile Application Management. We can deploy this feature on the device, which is not managed by the organization. If I apply some security configuration on a personal device, the user would be really disappointed. What we do instead is that we give all access to the applications related to corporate and ask the users to use the application. We secure the application by putting the security features on the applications and not on the users' devices. This way, the users are happy, and we also meet our company's compliance standards. Then, everyone is happy.""The solution is very good at securing files. For example, if I forward a secure document, it's blocked from others, as I can send it with restrictions in relation to who can open it.""The product is centralized and we can use it for security purposes.""It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution.""The product is a unified solution and you don't require to purchase tools from different vendors. The system analyzes behavior and activity and takes steps for protection.""The solution is scalable.""You can scale the solution up or down by department."

Cons
"The configuration could be better by consolidating options and making it simpler.""I think that there is room for improvement with the reporting. If this is done, it will be a better product.""There is room for improvement, particularly in terms of compatibility, extending beyond the well-known major brands.""The pricing can be expensive if you are not combining it with other products.""It would really be helpful to have the option to manage server operating systems as well, like Windows Server, at least. That way, we could scrap the use of SCCM, which requires a lot of on-premises infrastructure.""It would be beneficial to have a more straightforward understanding of Intune's capabilities, presented in a simplified manner.""From a new user's perspective, it may be a little overwhelming because there are quite a few things to look at in the console, however, once you are sort of acclimated and are familiar with your core functions, it's fairly simple and straightforward.""Reporting in Microsoft solutions is pathetic. With Intune, I'm getting a free inventory tool, but I don't get a reporting tool. When I go to Intune, I can see one machine's entire data in terms of the hardware and the software running on it, but I cannot generate a report for all the machines in the organization. The reporting is the only feature holding back the functionality that is already there."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"In some places, GUI could be more reactive.""I would like to see either a report section or an integration with a new reporting module to allow us to pull real metrics from the system easily.""There is room for improvement with Jamf Pro, especially regarding updates.""The solution only makes sense if you have a lot of macOS products in your company.""The list of applications for patch management isn't sufficient.""The cheaper Jamf School is also a product that has been acquired and decked out to meet more educational needs for a good price. Some features of Jamf School aren't (yet?) available in Jamf Pro and for educational users/customers of Jamf Pro, it would beneficial to have these available in the Pro version too.""We would like to have some of the extension attributes configured so that those extension attributes can be part of the core structure. They can make some of the extension attributes the actual attributes. They shouldn't be like add-ons.""It will be very helpful if we could restore users after they have been removed from Jamf because I have some cases of deleting a computer before unlocking it."

More Jamf Pro Cons →

"We did the deployment with the help of Microsoft's consultants. But sometimes, we found it difficult to educate the application developers to integrate.""Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security is expensive.""Technical support could be improved. Sometimes they use a third party that's not so knowledgeable in the product and that can slow down things a bit.""The MDM part of the engine could be better.""The licensing can be messy at times.""There are certain shortcomings in the licensing model of the product where improvements are required.""Microsoft's feature management is based on licenses. Microsoft follows ethical licensing and hence do not restrict the use of it.""Its performance needs enhancement."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Jamf Pro is a mobile device management software designed to help organizations and businesses automate Apple device handling-related workflows and processes. Reviews from Real Users

Jamf Pro stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Some of these include its app deployment, its easy installation, and the fact that it’s lightweight but powerful. PeerSpot users take note of the advantages of these features in their reviews:

An IT Support Specialist at Visby Medical writes, “The first most valuable feature I found was the ability to simply push out applications to devices, Mac or iPads/iPhones. It's as easy as procuring the licensing for the apps and then setting it to the volume purchasing back in Jamf.”

Another reviewer, a Desktop Engineer at Kroger, notes, “The self-service portal to share scripts and other tasks that have extremely minimized the need for calls to our support teams, or even sharing the applications we package and allowing users to pick and choose what apps they need or want, instead of just blanket installing everything from our old environment.”

Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) is the only comprehensive solution designed to help manage and protect users, devices, apps, and data in a mobile-first, cloud-first world.
